PROJECT MANAGER II

The primary responsibility of this position is to serve the
Client, the City University of New York, through competent
project management services. Areas of particular attention are
safety, budget, schedule and quality throughout the different
phases of the projects, from design through construction to
turnover and building commissioning. Project managers are
assigned to several projects which may employ a construction
manager. Currently assigned projects include a renovation of
Building "B", Hortense Powdermaker Hall and the new
Bernard and Gloria Salick Center of Molecular and Cellular
Biology. These major capital projects are located on the Queens
College Campus in Queens New York. Building "B" is a
20,159 square foot turn of the century building that has
significant historic value to the College and the community.
Powdermaker Hall is one of the CUNY's largest classroom and
lecture buildings. This project is 188,000 square foot and will
require full rehabilitation including new mechanical equipment.
The Bernard and Gloria Salick Center for Molecular and Cellular
Biology is a state of the art AIDS research institute.

Selected Accomplishments:
 | Administer design and construction contracts for all
phases of work from schematic design to project
close-out. |
 | Properly manage, schedule and maintain project budget and
schedule through the use of new and time proven
technologies. |
 | Prepare "Request for Proposal"'s, RFP's and
subsequent interview of selected construction managers
for use in the construction of Powdermaker Hall and the
Bernard and Gloria Salick Center for Molecular and
Cellular Biology. |
 | Development of the scope of work for amendments and
contracts for architectural, engineering, testing and
construction management services. |
 | Review/Approve contractor contracts and change orders |
